The state-mandated Required High School Curriculum (RHSC) requires that incoming First-Year students have a minimum of 17 courses in the following academic areas:
4 English courses
4 Mathematics courses
4 Science courses*
3 Social science courses
2 Foreign Language courses in the same language
Academic Electives: We suggests that students pursue the most rigorous curriculum appropriate to their ability levels, core GPA and curriculum difficulty are the two most important factors in First-Year admission decisions.

Applicants can pay and send their applications, and unis and colleges can start making decisions on applications.

The reference needs to be completed before the application can be sent to us.

Applications for the majority of undergraduate courses should arrive by 18:00 (UK time) on this day (check course details in our search tool for the correct deadline). The reference needs to be completed before the application can be sent to us.

Extra starts for eligible applicants.
30 June 2021
If an application is sent to us by 18:00 (UK time) on this day, we’ll send it to the chosen universities or colleges. Applications received after this date will automatically be entered into Clearing.
4 July 2021
Last date for applicants to add an Extra choice.
10 August 2021
SQA results day.
10 August 2021
A level results day.
8 September 2021
The deadline for any remaining conditions to be met – otherwise the university or college might not accept the applicant. Adjustment ends on this date.
21 September 2021
The final deadline for applications to 2021 courses. Applications must arrive by 18:00 (UK time).

The deadline for adding Clearing choices.
20 October 2021
Last date for universities and colleges to accept applicants in Clearing.
